Single Family Custom Home Remodel and Addition

This single family home remodel and addition was designed by HyR in collaboration with Masa Modern Homes. Located by Cedar Lake, the home is a mid century relic. In order to keep the mid century design aesthetic and history of the home, the portions of the home that were added were designed to resemble and pay homage to the original mid century architecture and elements. The areas of the home that were remodeled underwent almost a full gut remodel but many of the original wood paneling and interior design elements were kept.

 

The design brings out the classic mid century architectural elements while also keeping with a warm and contemporary vibe with wood siding, the warm colored cabinets, the flooring, the large floor to ceiling windows, and the ample indoor to outdoor perspectives.
