ALDRICH DUPLEX CONVERSION
Existing Single Family Home to Duplex Conversion
Built in 1908, Aldrich was a rundown house painted a pastel pink that needed new life. With the 2040 plan on the way and already zoned for a duplex, we decided to convert this single family home into an up down duplex.
Using bright colors and a lively exterior green, the house continues to give life to new tenants year after year.
The lower level unit is a 2 bedroom and 2 bathroom. The upper unit is a 2 bedroom and 1 bathroom with a finished attic space. In order to keep the character of the neighborhood, we maintained all of the historic windows in their original place and configured the new plan to ensure that the exterior of the property continue to look like a single family home. No original hardwood floors were harmed in the making.
